Smith emphasized that as technology continues to advance rapidly, voice search optimization, AI-driven algorithms, mobile-first indexing, and user-centric experiences will dominate the future of SEO.
Given all that we’ve discussed, it’s easy to see that search engine optimization is far more than a “publish and forget” it strategy. There are a lot of working pieces that can be somewhat complex.
To further complicate the matter, Google is currently testing what they call SGE (Search Generative Experience). This is an expandable section that will be visible in the search engine result pages just under the ads (in many cases) where you can use AI to find answers you are searching for. This is currently in beta testing and it’s unclear when it will launch fully. What’s also unclear is how this will impact SEO.
One thing is certain, however, Google’s introduction of AI in their search results will make a complex marketing element even more complicated.
