How to cite Make It Loud research
When citing a study, please include the full study title, Make It Loud as the publisher (and the client or sponsoring organization, when applicable), the publication date, a link to the primary report, and any important limitation associated with the cited figure. A basic attribution may look like:
According to Make It Loud\u2019s [Study Title], published in [year], [accurate summary of finding].
Please do not present an estimate as a direct count, present a national statistic as a local measurement, present an association as proof of causation, or remove qualifications that materially change the meaning. When a finding comes directly from an outside source such as the CDC or the U.S. Census Bureau, cite that original source.
Interviews, data, and corrections
When requesting an interview, please include your name, publication or outlet, topic, deadline, preferred format, and the specific study or data point involved. We support responsible use of research data and can often provide published data tables, aggregated findings, county-level figures, and calculation explanations, though we cannot release personally identifiable information, confidential client data, or licensed third-party datasets.
We welcome legitimate questions and corrections. If you believe a report contains a factual or calculation error, a mislabeled chart, or a misleading interpretation, contact us with the report title, the section, the statement in question, and your supporting source. We will review the issue and correct it when warranted.
